A bonus — these sales are important fundraiser for the churches, so you are supporting them with your purchases.
The St. Fotini Ladies Society will be selling pastries and frozen food items at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church’s (Saco) Fall “My Big Fat Greek Bazaar” and Luncheon held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat. Nov. 19. (The luncheon is served from 11 to 2 p.m.) There will be a large selection of fresh pastries, as well as frozen pans of pastichio, spanakopita, appetizers, and baklava. The Ladies Philoptochos Society at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Portlandwill take pre-orders for a variety of pastries, plus pans of spanakopita and baklava, AND their annual Vasilopita sweet bread. The Holiday Pastry Sale is in the parish house, 133 Pleasant St., Portland, on December 3rd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Holy Trinity Greek Church in Lewiston is holding its annual holiday pastry sale – “Dial-A-Greek Pastry.” Pastries, trays of appetizers and tsourekia ($7 a loaf) can be ordered by phone or email until Wednesday, November 16.
